What a year at the Elm Street Mission. It is hard to believe that six years have come and gone by. We have experienced many changes some easy, and some that are still impacting us. The great news is that we continue to run after God with everything we have. He is in charge and is still changing lives. There isn’t enough room on this paper to write about all the people that need prayer who come through Elm Street but here are a few names to put on your list. Lee, Lauren, Sandy, Jennifer, Jason and Tina. These lives have gone through tragedies and they turned to things other than God to ease the pain. Pray for them; some are strung out, some in programs, others getting back on their feet. We are glad that Jesus didn’t give up on us and so we will not give up on them. As holidays are tough for so many, may this be a time to slow down and look around for someone that God wants to help, using you. When we were kids we sang a song Jesus, Others, and You what a wonderful way to spell JOY. If you live this out you will find that you will have a smile instead of a frown. This is a time to follow our Lord’s word, “It is more blessed to give than to receive“. We want to thank all those who gave of their time, donated clothing and food, and gave monetarily. We want to thank all the groups that come and help us from churches, camps, and other ministries. Pray for us as we continue the fight to pull these precious souls from drugs, alcohol, and all the other traps the enemy has put in their path. Pray for us for the wisdom to know how to deal with each person and their circumstances. In everything that is done we give God all the glory.
